Vintage solid mahogany wood Jupe table in PRESERVED condition. This is a 60″ round table when closed and 84″ round when opened. This table was cleaned, compounded, and polished by hand.  The table’s internal movements are American-made steel.  The internal solid wood frame was dry when we got the table, so we wiped everything down with Slide-Ease, a drawer slide lubricant by Mohawk.  It is a heavy table, so it will take some strength to open and close this table, but it is not fussy, and you won’t break it by handling it aggressively.  It is rock solid and sturdy, the movements are American-made steel.

This period piece is ready for a new home. It has a factory original finish, and the condition is remarkable.  Finding a vintage table in preserved condition is rare. This Jupe table table was designed by Oscar De La Renta and made by Century Furniture. The quality is amazing, the more you look at this table and the more you handle this table, the more you will appreciate the craftsmanship. The finish is beautiful, it has a multi-step finish. When this table was in production, they sold for about $30,000, it was an active SKU about 25 years ago. The leaves and leaf box are also in mint condition, and everything is made from solid mahogany, including the leaf storage cabinet.   The table has a sturdy 4-leg pedestal with paw feet, brass-capped corners on the leaves and table sections. The table comes with a felt-lined leaf box.  The table has a family-friendly finish with mild factory indentations and factory distress marks under the finish. This is a fantastic table for a heavy traffic area, in a restored Victorian home, lounge, or wine cellar.  Its has old-world charm, natural patina, and its golden brown burnished mahogany finish is magnetic.
