This product page shows a genuine vintage restored Baker Furniture “Stately Homes” mahogany “Capstan” dining Jupe table that spins to open.

Original product description from Baker “The Guinness William IV mahogany Capstan dining table, the sectioned swirl mahogany top with fluted frieze, extending with eight additional stripe mahogany leaves, by a mechanical turning action similar to a ship’s wheel; the massive fluted central baluster supported by four curved and fluted legs terminating in fine cart and gilded brass toes”

The table is 71 inches in diameter when closed, and it has eight numbered leaves. This table will seat six comfortably in the smaller configuration. With more guests, this table spins open to reveal its 88-inch diameter configuration, seating 8-10 people. This preloved table was manufactured in 2007 and restored at AntiquePurveyor. This exact table is sold, but we are reproducing this well-perceived classic design so it will be available again.
