Jupe tables are expandable round to round dining tables originally invented by Robert Jupe in the nineteenth century. Robert Jupe’s patented radial tables did not have self-storing leaves and they were difficult to operate. Jupe tables today are designed with self-storing leaves and some Jupe tables operate with a spinning motion. Advancements over the years have made all of these types of tables easy to operate. It wouldn’t be fair to mention Robert Jupe without mentioning David Fletcher who makes the Fletcher Capstan table which costs as much as $50,000 and opens and closes with movements as smooth as a swiss made watch. Most of the Jupe tables you see on our site are great options for the regular Joe.
Today’s most widely accepted Jupe tables work by simply sliding the pie cut shapes outward and bringing out the leaf, which is folded in half within the table. Some higher-end, fancier tables will turn with mechanical devices and place the leaves into their location without having to handle them. We have access to some of those styles as well, but we find more value in the manual versions. We offer many styles of expandable Jupe tables for sale, these tables will fit country, casual, western, farm house, transitional, formal and/or traditional decor. Great kitchen tables or dining room tables. Some of the simpler version can also be used in the conference room as well. We carry name brand names like Sarreid, Theodore Alexander and Jonathan Charles Jupe tables. Some of the Jupe tables you’ll see here are exclusive designs which were developed for jour online store.
